I'm not a pro so maybe I'm wrong but during end game fights I don't just leave my drone parking in a place, I prefer to just use it to peak a little get some information and call it back as quickly as possible because I want to have it ready to deploy an EMP as soon as possible. I feel like risking having my drone destroyed and having to wait 40 seconds to have it back can cost me a good opportunity in this situations. I say this as a solo queue player who can't count on my random teammates so that's also a factor to consider, if I had more reliable teammates maybe I could take a little more risks with my drone.
