Amanda: Well I’m more of a sap than these guys, but I say “forgiveness.”

Arcane introduced many fan-favorite couples, with their stories beginning to unfold in Season 1. Season 2 is set to feature even more intimate scenes, particularly with Amanda Overtone on the team. Overtone, known for crafting the impactful scene between Jace and Mel, confirmed her return for Season 2, affirming, 'They hired me back for season two, which means there will be s*x. I’m the reason it’s in season one.'

Fans are eager for insights into Caitlyn and Vi's relationship, and showrunners have assured that both positive and negative developments await. Additionally, promises of interactions between Jinx and Ecco have surfaced, although whether they'll be romantic remains uncertain.

Q: Hi! Do you think Caitlyn and Vi shippers will be happy with the upcoming season?

Amanda (A reply to Alex’s post): I take full responsibility for both. And stand by that they make the show better!

Easter Eggs (Potential Spoilers)

Netflix for Riot Games

Keen-eyed fans have spotted Oriana and various other easter eggs, hinting at their potential appearance in season 2. A popular fan theory suggests that Vander might reappear as Warwick. Some enthusiasts have drawn connections between a part of Warwick's champion biography and a corresponding scene in the show, particularly the moment when Powder witnessed Vander's tragic fate:

Warwick struggled to recall a single memory from his past… All he could see was blood. But then he heard a little girl screaming. Screaming something he couldn’t understand. It sounded like a name.

Nevertheless, the writers have officially announced the introduction of only three new champions in the upcoming season, despite the abundance of hidden Easter eggs. These include Jhin and Kindred's masks, numerous Pentakill references, a Cho'Gath painting, Teemo illustrations and plushie, as well as Gragas on shimmer barrels, among others.

Exploring Runeterra

Riot Games

Enthusiasts are curious if the narrative will delve deeper into the expansive League of Legends universe. Speculation abounds that this could potentially be the last season centered in Piltover and Zaun, suggesting that the show will venture into new storylines and characters.

Q: If you could have made arcane about any other part of runeterra which one has most interest to you?

Christian: Sheesh… there’s a lot. ;) We’ve been working on Arcane for over 7 years now, so naturally, you have ideas for other stories over time.I think the “grimsical” tone that Arcane features works well for Alex and I. That said, I’m really interested in exploring some more quirky stuff as well. The League IP has a lot to offer, it’s very diverse in cultural and tonal aspects.

Alex: There are stories I’d love to tell all over Runeterra. One of the joys of working on Arcane was having the opportunity to dive deep into the style, look, and culture of Piltover/Zaun. At Riot we of course have our ideas, but there is still a magic of discovery whenever you invest time conceptualizing one of Runeterra’s regions.I’ve always been a fan of the intrigue/machinations of Noxus, the aesthetics and history of Ionia, the mythos of the Freljord.
