Beauty in Black is a drama television series produced by Tyler Perry and officially released on October 24, 2024. The 8-episode season has already gathered a huge fan base, and people are more than excited to jump into the world of the two protagonists with completely different stories. However, the narrative becomes even more complicated when their worlds collide.

Kimmie is a struggling stripper who crosses paths with Mallory - a woman running a hair care business, which might collapse at any moment under the pressure of family secrets and lawyers. Now let's take a look at the thrilling finale of the compelling story in Beauty in Black Season 1.

Beauty in Black Season 1 Kimmie & Angel

The final Episode starts with a group of masked men holding Angel and Kimmie as hostages after they were caught trying to rob Horace's safe. Although Horace strongly suspects Kimmie as the one standing behind the robbery, Angel ends up being the one who takes the fall. However, before he has the chance to react, they explain that they've planned the robbery together to escape the club and start their new lives. At first, he doesn't seem convinced, but Kimmie keeps talking.

She tells him that Jules is their pimp and he's trying to get their criminal charges dropped. That's when Horace lets them go but warns them to keep their mouths shut about what happened. His decision is strongly influenced by the information about the corrupt judge that Jules uses. He later remembers Harold Wiscollins, who works as a judge, and asks Jules if he knows him. Jules denies that there's any truth in that statement, but Horace is convinced that he's lying.

Beauty in Black Season 1 Mallory & Horace

Throughout Season 1, we witnessed Mallory and Calvin sneaking around together, but when he ends up confessing his feelings for her in the final Episode of Beauty in Black, she kicks him out of the house. However, this isn't necessarily because she doesn't like him; she seems afraid to take the next step with him because he's just a chauffeur. Despite this ending, many fans suspect that Mallory will eventually admit how she feels about him and they will officially be in a relationship.

As far as Horace is concerned, he kills the robbers, and Jules comes to the crime scene to clean up the mess. He quickly discovers that one of the thieves has a business card in his pocket, which is connected to the company that installed the safe. This means that those who robbed the safe are the same ones who delivered it. However, Jules decides to keep his discovery a secret from Horace.

Beauty in Black Season 1 Mallory & Roy

Lena is the famous lawyer who uncovers so many secrets about Mallory's hair care company that she could bring everyone down in the blink of an eye. In the finale, Roy meets her in a restaurant and offers her a permanent position in the legal department. Of course, Mallory appears suddenly, gets rid of Roy, and makes Lana the same offer as he did. Weird, right? Well, she finds out later from Lana that Roy had a similar idea, and she's pleasantly surprised by the fact that he came up with the same plan as her.

The point of them asking her to work at the legal department is to buy her off, so she'll stop trying to destroy their empire. Unfortunately for them, Lana says she cannot be bought. Mallory laughs until she realizes that Lana isn't joking; it turns out that people with integrity are not as interested in money as rich people might think.

Beauty in Black Season 1 Charles' Car & Sylvia

Yes, we all saw Charles' car being destroyed. Mallory was more than shocked to find the vehicle on fire on the private road, especially considering that the police were there as well, investigating a potential attack. Since Charles' got shot and blown up by a group of masked men, it's safe to assume that these are the same people who tried to rob Horace. In other words, it's possible that it's all connected to Jules. In the final scene, Angel and Kimmie are confronted by Body, who thinks that Kimmie is trying to take her place at the club.

Body is convinced that she can blackmail Kimmie by telling her that she has her sister Sylvia kidnapped, but Kimmie attacks her. Body threatens that she'll tell Jules to kill her, but Kimmie gets in the car and crashes into Body. Although this brings many questions to the surface, there's only one thing we know for sure: Kimmie will not go down without a fight.

Beauty in Black Season 1 Summary

Beauty in Black Season 1 ends on a huge cliffhanger, but it gave us exactly what we were looking for - drama, lies, intense fights, and a strong desire for power. The latter is especially important since the purpose of the entire series is to show how the rich are a little bit too obsessed with the power that their wealth gives them. However, judging by Lana's response to the generous offer to work for the company, money really isn't everything.

In other words, as the rich are trying to hold on to their wealth, other people are more focused on holding on to their integrity, even if they aren't in the same financial position.
