Who is Asta
Asta is the main character of the Black Clover anime, and is your first character in Black Clover M. He is a Power Defender and although SR Asta is somewhat lacking due to being an SR character, he is still the first character that players get and is easy to get more copies of to make him stronger. However, before anything you need to know how to build him to get the most out of him. Here is how you do it!

SR Asta is good at removing buffs from enemies while also increasing his own DEF and becoming a meat shield for his team. Here is the full breakdown of his skills:

Downward Strike
- Swings the Demon-Slayer sword at an enemy, dealing damage.
- Removes 3 [Debuff(s)].
- For each [Debuff] removed, grants 30% [Increased DEF] buff for 2 turn(s).
Sweep
- Swings a demon-slayer sword, dealing damage to all enemy targets in the front.
- If an enemy is inflicted with [Incapacitate], there is a 30% chance to inflict [Stun] on them 1 turn(s).

Summary
If you’re just starting out with Black Clover M then building SR Asta is a great choice given that his ability to take damage for the team while also dealing some good damage isn’t all that bad, and on par with even some SSR characters. He is a fun character to try if you are challenging yourself to build an SR only team, or are going full F2P with only units supplied by the game and no wishing. All in all, he is a good pick for any beginner, but can be swapped in the future.
