Opening chests and defeating enemies can only bring random drops, so getting Refined Iron Sand that way is not certain. Fortunately, the more powerful opponents, such as Yaoguai Chiefs, Kings, and Queens have a very high chance of dropping the material.

If you want to upgrade your weapons and armor or craft new ones, you will need a lot of Refined Iron Sand. This material increases your damage output and Critical Hit Chance. Some of the best weapons to upgrade are the Kang-Jin Staff, the Spikeshaft Staff, and the Rat Sage Staff.
