Diablo 4's Season of the Construct has finally arrived, and it's time to start looking at some fun and engaging builds for the initial leveling stages of the game. In this article, we will be taking a look at the 5 best Rogue builds for leveling, covering the first 70 levels of the game. We recommend using these builds if you want to have a fun and smooth experience, designed to help you reach World Tiers 3 and 4 as soon as possible.
The builds featured in this article are chosen based on a combination of damage, mobility, survivability, as well as how fun they are and how good they feel to play while your character still lacks the many options available during the end-game. Here is our list of recommended leveling builds for Diablo 4 Season 3.

Best Rogue Leveling Builds For Diablo 4 Season 3
One of the best ways to level up the Rogue has always been by using the Penetrating Shot build, and this season is no different. The Penetrating Shot ability, when combined with some modifiers including an imbuement of your choice, as well as the Trickshot Offensive Aspect, becomes a quick and satisfying way to delete an entire screen of enemies. Being a ranged build also helps with survivability, and the ability to position yourself for your shot to go through as many enemies as possible will provide a fun and engaging playstyle for you while leveling up.
This build can also transition well into the endgame, thanks to the many buffs to the different Unique bows and crossbows coming to Season 3. You can further upgrade this build by modifying your new Seneschal companion to provide you with some free damage and critical strike buffs.
Pros | Cons |
Good AoE Clear | Requires Positioning |
Strong Single-Target | Combo Point Oriented |
Ranged (More Survivability) | Medium Clear Speed |

The Flurry Rogue build might start a little awkward and slow, but once you get the Encircling Blades aspect, it quickly becomes one of the fastest melee builds available for the class. Flurry is a melee skill that hits enemies in front of you, and the aspect modifies it to damage in an AoE around you. Combined with the mobility of the Rogue class, it creates a really fun build that can clear entire dungeons in just a few minutes. If you're looking for a pure melee Rogue build that will quickly take you to the endgame, consider giving Flurry a try.
No significant changes have happened to the Flurry core skill or any of its aspects in Season 3, but the small nerfs to Twisting Blades make this build a lot more competitive with it. The Flurry build is also somewhat fragile being a melee build, so we recommend modifying your Seneschal companion with some defensive Tuning Stones.
Pros | Cons |
High Mobility | Low AoE Range |
Solid Single-Target & AoE Damage | Low Survivability |
No Resource Issues | Aspect Dependent |

Barrage is the closest thing to a 'Jack of all Trades' build you can use for the Rogue Class. It provides a mix of melee and ranged combat, decent survivability and it does not require any specific items or aspects to get it going. Barrage is a skill that fires in an arc infront of your character, with 5 waves of arrows slowly moving forward and damaging enemies. By using Shadow Imbuement you allow your skill to apply Vulnerable to all affected enemies, resulting in a big explosion of damage that can destroy an entire screen filled with enemies. As with all Rogue builds, you can stay on the move and be quite mobile while damaging your enemies, providing a fast-paced playstyle while leveling.
The Barrage build does require some proactive positioning in order to group enemies up and land your shots, which might be engaging for some players, while tedious for others. As the build excels in both AoE and single-target damage, we recommend adding defensive or offensive buffs to your Seneschal companion, instead of an attack type that covers your weaknesses.
Pros | Cons |
High Mobility | Technically Melee Build |
Solid Single-Target & AoE Damage | Requires Positioning |
Satisfying | Resource Dependent |

Our last recommendation for Season 3 is the Rapid Fire Rogue build. This ranged skill fires 5 consecutive arrows, dealing a ton of damage to everything in front of you. With the right items and aspects, this skill can be amazing for clearing high-health enemies and bosses in just a few seconds. While you are definitely going to be adding some AoE options to this build through different skills and items, the Rapid Fire skill itself is not going to be the fastest option for any spread-out packs of enemies. Rapid Fire is also a great option for group play if you are looking for someone to take care of any of the stronger enemies in the game. If you are looking for a more single-target-oriented build that is satisfying to play and can scale well into the endgame, this might be the option for you.
Keep in mind that you can cover some of the AoE weaknesses of this build with the new Seneschal companion coming to Season 3. You can build this follower to do AoE focused damage, while you focus your own character for Elites and Bosses.
Pros | Cons |
Fun & Easy To Play | Low AoE Capabilities |
High Single-Target Damage | Requires Positioning |
Strong Survivability | Better in Group Play |
That covers the full list of Rogue builds we recommend during the leveling phase of the game. If you are looking to reach World Tier 3 and 4 as quickly as possible, using one of these builds is going to be the best choice during Season 3. We hope that these recommendations cast a wide enough net for you to find something that you like before transitioning into the later stages of the game.
