Mage Playstyle in Dragon's Dogma 2
In Dragon's Dogma 2, mages mainly serve a support role, though they also have offensive tools. Players are tasked with buffing and healing their party members while they also deal damage. Despite some players finding this role less appealing, being good support takes skill and can greatly impact gameplay. Mages typically attack and buff from the back lines, staying safe while buffing the entire team's performance.
Early on, mages rely heavily on offensive spells, but with progression and leveling up, they obtain an array of supportive abilities. It's important to select spells that exploit enemies' weaknesses and resistances, which will make your effectiveness in combat better. Additionally, stamina management is crucial for mages, and they rely on it completely for spellcasting.
