S-Tier Vocations in DD2

WarfarerWarfarer: Warfarers are highly versatile. They are able to learn skills and spells from any vocation, as well as using any weapon without restrictions. Their adaptability allows them to be great in various situations, making them valuable assets in any party composition. Additionally, Warfarers can be effective without relying heavily on pawns, offering a dynamic and engaging gameplay experience.

WarriorWarrior: With devastating area-of-effect (AoE) damage capabilities, Warriors wield two-handed weapons with great strength. While lacking the defensive powers of Fighters, Warriors compensate with insane damage. They take down enemies easily but may struggle against foes with high physical resistance.

A-Tier Vocations in DD2

Fighter DD2Fighters: As the party's frontline tanks, Fighters are amazing at absorbing damage with their shields and parrying attacks. Their straightforward playstyle makes them easy for all players to pick up, although they deal less damage than the Warriors and lean towards a defensive approach. If you're into playing with a shield and sword, this is the class for you.

Mage DD2Mage: Underrated yet unreplaceable, Mages provide important support to their allies through healing spells and defensive buffs. Beyond their supportive role, Mages strike a balance between offense and defense, making them versatile additions to any party.

Magick ArchererMagick Archer: Combining magic with precise archery, Magick Archers have versatile spells capable of targeting single or multiple enemies. Their ability to revive fallen pawns adds a strategic advantage to their arsenal, making them invaluable assets in combat situations. They're way better than Archers, for sure!

Sorcerer DD2Sorcerer: Masters of arcane magic, Sorcerers specialize in powerful ranged attacks. While lacking in healing abilities, Sorcerers compensate with damage better than the ones of Mages. You have some insane AoE spells but they take a lot of time to cast. However, having two sorcerers on your team will cause them to sync spells and perform them faster. Sorcerers are squishy so keep them safe. This vocation is an amazing choice but a little bit more difficult to master.

B-Tier Vocations in DD2

Mystic Spear HandMystic Spearhand: Specializing in crowd control through a blend of physical and magical attacks, Mystic Spearhands can slow down enemies and create strategic openings in combat. However, they don't scale well and aren't as good late-game, and they struggle to compete with other vocations in terms of damage output. The plus side is you have both melee and long-range damage.

TricksterTrickster: Offering a unique twist on support roles, Tricksters possess situational abilities that don't always come in handy. While challenging to master, good players can use versatile skill sets to their advantage.

C-Tier Vocations in DD2

ThiefThief: Thiefs and Rogues in all games cater to a specific audience and they're never easy to play. You have some magical tricks up your sleeves but otherwise, you'll have to stick to melee damage. However, you aren't as tanky as Fighters and Warriors which will put you in sticky situations. The plus side is that Thieves are very mobile.

Archer DD2Archer: Armed with a variety of arrows, Archers specialize in attacking flying monsters and targeting weak spots. Despite their precision and utility, Archers struggle to match the damage output of other vocations and require substantial skill to play effectively.

In conclusion, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each vocation is very important for assembling a decent party in Dragon's Dogma 2. We hope we've helped you find the best vocation for you in DD2.
