Dragon's Dogma 2 Quest Guide: Readvent of Calamity

After traveling around the world of Dragon's Dogma 2 for some time, completing quests, and killing monsters, you will find yourself heading back to Melve. We do recommend taking the time to revisit the starting village because you will not only fight another dragon but also have the chance to unlock the Mystic Spearhand vocation. 

When you are in Vernworth helping Captain Brant, he will mention that you should return to Melve. Make sure you do so before starting the Feast of Deception quest because you will have missed your chance if you don't.

Returning to Melve in Dragon's Dogma 2

A dragon will be attacking the village. Don't worry too much. You don't need to kill it but your goal will be to repel it. You will have help from the guards and a strange hooded figure wielding a double-sided spear. 

The best tactic for this battle is to use ranged weapons. If you want to focus on melee combat that's fine, but be careful of the dragon's powerful attacks. Aim for the blisters on its legs and body.

When you deal enough damage the dragon will fly away, leaving you to talk with the hooded spearman. His name is Sigurd and, as soon as you can, ask him about his fighting style. This will unlock the Mystic Spearhand vocation. Don't worry if you miss your chance. You can find him again later in the game. 

Readvent of Calamity Quest Guide for Dragon's Dogma 2

Now the village is safe from another dragon attack, leave the village and come back after a rest. Your main Pawn may mention checking on Melve. This will begin the quest Readvent of Calamity in Dragon's Dogma 2. 

You will need to find Ulrika in Melve. This part is easy. Go to the house at the highest point of the village and head inside. Ulrika will ask you to spend the night in her house as a reward for saving the village. Take her up on her offer.

The next morning you will find Ulrika missing. When you leave the house in Dragon's Dogma 2, Lennart will come over and talk to you. He thinks Ulrika is trying to take on the dragon by herself and tasks you with finding her before she can do anything stupid. 

Where to Find Ulrika in Dragon's Dogma 2

This is where the quest gets a little more difficult because her location will not appear on your map. You will have no idea where to look for her. I'm guessing that's why you are here. 

Head to Harve village and you will find Ulrika. Someone has kidnapped villagers and taken them to a nearby cave. Ulrika wants to go after them and she asks for your help. Go with her and assist in any way you can. When you get back to Halve, Ulrika will explain that she intends to stay. 

You can now return to Lennart in Dragon's Dogma 2 and tell him Ulrika is safe and sound. This will bring the quest Readvent of Calamity to an end. Accept your reward and celebrate. I hope you found this helpful.
