After the controversial release of Dragon's Dogma 2, Capcom has promised us fixes to the major issues of the action RPG. On March 29, they brought out the first of many patches for the PC and PS5. Xbox players might have paid the same price as everyone else but will have to wait a few more days.
The developers have already said that this update will not solve all issues and they are working on future patches. Some of the fixes couldn't have come sooner. Being able to start a new game when saved data already exists is what players have been begging for since day one. Capcom has also changed the amount of Art of Metamorphosis items in the Pawn Guilds to 99, giving players more opportunities to edit their characters.
The update also makes the quest where you can buy your first house accessible earlier in the game. This has confused some fans because the quest was already available quite early. Other fans had disagreed and weren't able to start the mission until much later. Capcom seemed to listen to what people were saying.

- Making the quest that allows players to acquire their own dwelling (where they can save and rest) available earlier in the game
- Miscellaneous text display issues
- Miscellaneous bug fixes
[PlayStation5]

[Steam]

- Fixing an issue related to the display of models under some specific settings
The developers behind Dragon's Dogma 2 have stated that these fixes will not solve the frame rate problems. They will only help while they work on the bigger issues. Opinions on the update are mixed. It is good that Capcom is working on making the game better but too many players are still upset that these problems exist at all in the finished product.

As stated above, Xbox players will have to wait a while longer but the developers have promised we will see a patch for Xbox Series X/S in the next few days. A large percentage of potential fans are refusing to buy the game until Dragon's Dogma 2 produces a performance mode.
We will have to wait for now but at least we can have more than one playthrough available at a time. If you have any issues you want fixing in the game be sure to participate in Capcom's survey. They are asking what we want to see improved and if we would be willing to buy a DLC.
