Despite the flaws to Dragon's Dogma 2, the action RPG is full of side-quests, collectibles, and new vocations. You will spend hours trying to complete the main story and even longer if you want to experience everything the game has to offer. Be sure to take some downtime and see the beauty Capcom created.

After you run around for a while, helping locals of Vermund or Battahl in Dragon's Dogma 2, you might want to settle down for a few days and buy yourself a house. Where are the potential homes for your Arisen? How much do they cost? Is it worth spending that much gold? We will answer all these questions.

Capcom has announced that the first patch for Dragon's Dogma 2 will add a chance to buy your first house earlier in the game. Whether that will include a new house or one of the three in the game already, we do not know.

Is It Worth Buying Houses in Dragon's Dogma 2?

When you buy a house, you will be able to rest and heal up in Dragon's Dogma 2 without paying for a room in the inn each time. Considering the cheapest house is only 20,000 gold and each night in the inn costs 2000 gold, if you rest ten times in your home, you have already made up for the payment.

In your house in Dragon's Dogma 2, you will find a chest where you can store your items, saving you from carrying all of your collection with you. If you own more than one house, the storage chest will share its contents across all owned properties. You won't need to run back and forth, organizing your belongings.

You will be a resident of Vermund or Battahl, a homeowner in Dragon's Dogma 2. After all your heroics, battles, and trouble, you deserve to be a part of the community. Depending on which house you buy, you might even become part of the upper class. You won't be a noble with a title or attitude but at least you will have a grand mansion to show off.

Which Houses Can You Buy in Dragon's Dogma 2?

There are three houses for sale in Dragon's Dogma 2. You can find two in Vernworth and one in Bakbattahl. Let's see how to buy them.

The first house you will be able to buy is the cheaper of the two in Vernworth. Head over to the Stardrop Inn and you should find a woman called Mildred. If you don't see her, sit on a bench and rest for a little while.

When you talk to Mildred in Dragon's Dogma 2, she will ask you to look after her house for a week because she has to go away immediately. Agree and you will gain a house free of charge for a week in-game.

This will trigger the Place to Call Home quest. You can rest up and wait for the week to pass or you can continue your adventures. You will receive a prompt to let you know Mildred is back in Vernworth.

Return to the house and Mildred will give you the chance to buy her home for 20,000 gold. Depending on when you choose to start this quest, this can be a large sum of money or not so bad if you have the savings. Make sure you have enough gold to enhance your equipment should you need to before spending your savings on the house.

The other house in Vernworth is far more expensive. You will find it in the noble quarters of the city. There is no quest connected to the property so all you have to do is find an NPC called Salvatore. He will ask for 200,000 gold for his house. It is an impressive building but not worth that much money early in the game. Return later when you have gold to spare

The last house available in Dragon's Dogma 2 is in Bakbattahl. In the residential ward, you will find a beastren woman called Adrea, willing to sell you a new home for the decent price of 30,000 gold. You will be traveling back and forth to Bakbattahl thoughout your playthough so it is worth the gold. You are going to spend triple that in the inn before you manage to complete all the quests available.
