Fortnite Update v.29.01 Early Patch Notes Prediction - Midas Event & The Floor Is Lava

Leakers suggest that Fortnite Update 29.01 is already being tested by Epic Games and it will be released tomorrow, March 19th. They also have a few suggestions for what we might expect to see in the game, such as new cosmetics, events, and the return of Midas.

Please note that 29.01 is a small update, not to be mistaken for the upcoming 29.10, which will be released on March 26, 2024. This major update will bring way more new content, and collaborations, including the Korra outfit, and much more.

Fortnite Midas Outfit and Event

The Midas event is also the Spring Event in Fortnite. This beloved outfit is returning in time for the Greek Mythology theme of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. The event will include lots of Midas-related content, such as an 'Ancient' version of his skin and his own version of the Drum Gun.

Midas was first introduced in Fortnite during Chapter 2 Season 2, and he quickly became a favorite skin to many. We can't wait to see the king, who turns everything he touches into gold, return with a more accurate Mythology look.

The Floor is Lava Event

The Floor is Lava returning to Fortnite was already leaked almost a month ago, along with other beloved tournaments. This is a limited-time event from previous seasons. Lava starts rising 5 minutes into the match, slowly submerging the whole island and thus making it difficult for players to navigate the map. Touching the lava deals 20 damage, but it is possible to build on it to protect yourself. Players receive materials every second due to farming not being an option because of the surrounding lava.

UEFN Rocket Racing

UEFN Creators will be able to publish their own custom maps for the game mode in the next update. Leaks suggest there will be a bigger announcement related only to this new feature later this month. Community maps are a huge step for Fortnite, proving the game can have even more longevity and player involvement. We can't wait to see how creative Fortnite players can get with these tools! New Fortnite Crew Pack for April - Ares

The monthly crew pack outfit was leaked once Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 was launched. Ares, the god of war and the lover of Aphrodite will be joining the long list of Greek Mythology-inspired skins. You still have time to subscribe to the Fortnite Crew Pack and get the Katt Skin.

New Weapons

The next Fortnite update will feature 2 new weapons. The first one is the Drum Gun, which belongs to Midas. It's a heavy submachine gun with a high rate of fire. Chains of Hades is also making a debut as the Mythic of the god of the Underworld.
