Denken persuaded Richter to join him and Lauren for a nice dinner there, as it held sentimental value for him and his late wife. Frieren also used to frequently visit this restaurant with her former comrades, so she brought Fern and Stark along as well.

Meanwhile, in another part of the city, Land was approached by Ubel, who sought to learn more about him. Ubel's ability allowed her to copy and use the powers of those she sympathized with, which is why she attempted to extract information from Land. Despite her threats, Land calmly declined to talk, and they continued strolling around the city together.

The scene later shifts to Wirbel, who encounters the main group on the street and is impressed by Stark. He takes Stark on a mission and leaves the girls behind.

Later, Lawine and Kanne give a present to Frieren as a token of appreciation for her help during the exam. Their gesture reminds her of a past incident where she and her now-deceased allies assisted a small girl and her family. During that time, Himmel admitted to Frieren that he might enjoy helping people because he wished to be remembered for his good deeds. This saying of his stuck with her to this day.
