Maintenance Date and Time
The Version 5.2 update maintenance will begin on November 20, 2024, at 06:00 (UTC+8) and is expected to last 5 hours. During the maintenance, players will not be able to log into the game, so make sure to do all of your daily tasks before the maintenance. To compensate players for the maintenance, the developers will be giving out 300 Primogems to players who have reached Adventure Rank 5 and above before the start of the maintenance. This compensation will be awarded through the game’s Mail function, so be sure to claim your Primogems from there after the maintenance has concluded. How to Pre-Install
There will be different ways to pre-install the game depending on the device you are using. Given that Genshin can be played on mobile, PC, and PlayStation, there are three methods to pre-install the game.
Mobile
For players on Mobile, you can begin pre-installing by opening Genshin Impact on your phone, reaching the log-in menu, and tapping on the [Pre-Install Resource Package] button in the bottom left corner.
PC
For players on PC, you will first want to open your HoYoPlay Client and find Genshin Impact from there. Once you’ve found Genshin Impact, you can click the [Pre-Install] button that will appear to the left of the [Start Game] button. Once you click the button, the game will begin pre-installing.
PlayStation
Those of you playing on PlayStation will have the easiest time, as Genshin Impact will automatically begin pre-installing the newest version as long as you have sufficient storage space available.
