Granblue Fantasy Relink Version 1.3 - Full Update Summary

Version 1.3 for Granblue Fantasy: Relink dropped yesterday, May 31st, and with it came a ton of new content for players to enjoy.

The new version is sure to bring a ton of players back to the game, as this update not only introduces a new character but also a total of 4 new quests for players to grind their lives out of.

Let’s look at what Version 1.3 has to offer so that you know what to do when you get into the game.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink Version 1.3 New Content

This version release has been the biggest one ever since GBF Relink’s release this February. Version 1.3 brought in a ton of new content, which you can see a quick summary of right below:

• New Character
• New Quests
• New Sigils
• Sigil Synthesis
• Photo Mode
• much, much more

We’ll go in-depth on some of the new features while briefly mentioning others, so stay with us to find out all that’s new with the new version.

New Character

Version 1.3 introduces the fan-favorite Sandalphon as a playable character. Players can obtain this character by farming for [Canaan Whiteblooms], which can be obtained from either The Final Vision quest or one of the newly added quests.

New Quests

A total of four new quests have been added to the game with this version update. The quest names for them are as follows:

• Pageant of Might and Magic
• Zathba's 'Volunteers
• Dark Swordsman's Nightmare
• Zero

All four of these quests are Proud Difficulty quests and will only be unlocked after you’ve cleared The Final Vision quest.

Given that they are Proud Difficulty Quests, they are surely going to test your skills, and for those who have not touched the game for some time, they will prove quite challenging. Nonetheless, having four new quests is certainly a welcome addition, as it further expands the end-game content of the game.

New Sigils

A total of 3 new sigils have been added with the 1.3 update, and they are a great way to further boost your damage while also making building characters a bit harder, as we now have even more choices when it comes to good sigils.

The new sigils are:

• Berseker Echo
• Spartan Echo
• Super Ultimate Perfect Dodge

and below, you can see the effects of each sigil:

Berserker Echo

• Boosts chance of triggering supplementary damage the higher base attack power is.
• Supplementary damage dealt by other sources will be added to that damage.

Spartan Echo

• Boosts change of triggering supplementary damage the higher base health is.
• Supplementary damage dealt by other sources will be added to that damage.

Super Ultimate Perfect Dodge

• Shortens perfect dodge timing windows but greatly boosts damage cap during Invincibility from a perfect dodge.
• Doesn't stack with Flight over Fight or Improved Dodge.

Sigil Synthesis

Sigil Synthesis is a feature that a ton of end-game players are sure to be grateful for. This feature allows you to synthesize two Legendary+ sigils to create a new Legendary+ sigil that will take one trait for each of the original sigils.

While this is without a doubt a purely RNG mechanic, it can prove useful if you have a ton of Legendary+ sigils with a good main trait and a bad secondary one.

Photo Mode

For those players wishing to get into the role-playing side of things or simply enjoy snapping pictures of the characters, version 1.3 adds the wonderful Photo Mode, which will allow you to capture the moment however you like.

Others

We covered the major updates coming with the new version, but that doesn’t mean that this is all that version 1.3 has to offer. Below, you can see the remaining content that was released with the new version:

• map overlay. 
• new category to Game Options: Control Scheme.
• option on the Title Screen to rewatch the end credits.
• ability to lock acquired sigils and wrightstones directly from town services and results screens.
• ability to directly check trait details from the details screen of weapons, sigils, and wrightstones.
• ability to claim all unlocked trophy rewards at once from the Trophies screen in Lyria's Journal.
