Helldivers 2 launched a week ago, and it has already managed to attract a much wider audience than the developers expected. After a couple of days filled with server issues and crashes, it finally looks like the game is in a stable state. Helldivers 2 features a lot of different progression systems, allowing you to unlock different weapons, Stratagems, and permanent upgrades to your ship. Making use of all of these systems is going to be key whenever you decide to start playing on some of the higher difficulty levels.
One of the main forms of progression in the game is called Warbonds, and they are going to be your way of earning all of the different weapons and body armor throughout the game. Here is everything you need to know about Warbonds in Helldivers 2.

How Do Warbonds Work in Helldivers 2?
Warbonds are a battle-pass system in Helldivers 2, which is your only way of unlocking all of the different weapons and armor within the game. You can access the Warbonds menu anywhere on your ship by pressing the dedicated button (which is R on PC), and it will open up all of the different battle-passes that are available to you. The game launched with a free Warbond called Helldivers Mobilize, which all players have access to.
To unlock all of the contents of any Warbond, you are going to need Medals, which are one of the main currencies in the game. Medals can be obtained by completing missions, operations, and the daily Personal Order quest.

Warbonds are sectioned into different pages, with each page requiring a certain amount of Medals for it to unlock. The required Medals increase exponentially with each page, and the main 'Helldivers Mobilize' Warbond features 10 pages of rewards. Here is a list of all of the different things you can find inside these Warbonds:
- Weapons (Primary, Secondary & Grenades)
- Armor (Body Armor, Helmets and Capes)
- Player Cards
- Emotes
- Boosters
- Super Credits
The game also features premium Warbonds, which are the main way for Arrowhead Game Studios to sustain their live-service model for Helldivers 2. So far, there is only one premium Warbond in the game, called Steeled Veterans, which costs 1,000 Super Credits and can also be purchased with the Deluxe edition of the game. The developers have stated that they plan to have a new premium Warbond every month for the foreseeable future.forseable future.
Keep in mind that Super Credits can also be found in-game during matches, so if you play enough, you will never need to spend any real money to unlock new weapons or armor in the game. Hopefully, this guide has cleared up any misconceptions you might have about the Warbonds system in Helldivers 2. With many more of these battle-passes coming to the game in the future, we are excited to see what kind of new features will be added to them.
