Rhaenyra Attacks King's Landing Alone

Several leaked scenes tease that in her rage, Rhaenyra left for King's Landing alone with Syrax. At the end of Season 1, the princess finds out about the devastating loss of one of her sons. Although she kept her composure after the throne was usurped, this tragic loss definitely shook her. Rhaenyra was never shown as a warrior, and fans who read the book explain that her original character differs greatly from the one shown in the series. However, it is well known that HBO adds its own twist to the events, changing some aspects of the story. Seeing Rhaenyra act on her rage does not seem unlikely if we keep in mind how her character has been built in the show.

There was a scene leaked of Rhaenyra riding Syrax, but it did not reveal much. It was a clip of a conversation between Rhaenys and Daemon where they discuss Rhaenyra's impulsive departure. In that scene, Daemon is concerned about his wife's safety and accuses her of making a reckless decision. Rhaenys, on the other hand, reassures him that there is nothing stronger than a mother's rage and that if she happens to come across Aemond, he should be the one to worry. Daemon goes on to blame Rhaenys for not setting Aegon and his descendants on fire, as this would have prevented Lucerys's death.

Daemon Attacks Rhaenyra

Probably the most talked-about unofficial scene is the one where Daemon seemingly attacks Rhaenyra. In the leaked clip, Rhaenyra asks Daemon whether he is accepting her as his queen and ruler, to which he angrily jumps up, throws a glass on the floor, and moves in her direction. The video is short, but it is enough to show Daemon's anger after his wife asked him that question. Given the abusive scenes between the two that we saw in HOTD Season 1, it is not hard to imagine this being true. It will be unfortunate to see Daemon turning on Rhaenyra, but there is hardly any chance that this scene could have a different meaning. Not to mention that fans suspect Daemon of having ulterior motives and wanting the throne for himself, but this is a theory for another time.

A Son for a Son

We all felt terrible seeing Rhaenyra's sweet and innocent son Lucerys get killed by Aemond's dragon Vhagar. Such a terrible incident can only enrage the Blacks even more and hasten the outbreak of war. We all believed that Rhaenyra's son would be avenged, but for non-book readers, it might be surprising what the revenge will actually be.

Daemon takes matters into his own hands and orders the assassination of one of Aegon and Helaena's sons. "A son for a son" is Daemon's famous quote that shows his burning desire to avenge Lucerys by making the Greens experience the same pain from a loss. In the trailer, you can see a funeral being held in King's Landing. A lot of people thought that this was the official funeral of the late King Viserys I Targaryen. However, as it turns out, it will be the farewell for the current king's oldest heir.

There is a lot more that is about to unfold in House of the Dragon Season 2! Stay tuned for more interesting news and details about the show on our website!
