How to Get Kindling in Palworld

As you upgrade your base with more advanced buildings in Palworld, you'll eventually need a variety of different resources and Pals to make use of certain buildings. The Primitive Furnace, for example, cannot function without Kindling. This Palworld guide covers the fastest, easiest way to get Kindling!

The Primitive Furnace in Palworld

Your first Furnace in Palworld is crucial, allowing you to produce Ingots which are a key resource needed to build more advanced buildings and tools. However, the Furnace will alert you that it requires Kindling to work.

If you're new to Palworld, this will probably be the first time you've ever heard of Kindling. This is because, in Palworld, Kindling is not a resource like Wood or Stone. It is actually a Pal Work Suitability skill.

Palworld: How to Get Kindling

While some Pals have Transporting or Farming Work Suitability skills, like Lamball, Pals of the Fire-type possess the Kindling work skill. This means you will need a Fire-type Pal to join your base in order to work your Primitive Furnace.

While any Fire-type Pal can work - all Fire Pals have the Kindling skill - the easiest Fire Pal to catch in the early game is Foxparks. Foxparks isn't super strong and appears very commonly in the shaded areas of the map pictured below.
