All characters start with a basic weapon. When you first start the story all of your characters will have their weapons at level 1 and you will need to start upgrading them to increase their stats.

To upgrade your weapons you will need the help of the [Blacksmith].

The Blacksmith unlocks at Chapter 1 of the Story and is one of the shops you will be visiting most often. When you first unlock the Blacksmith you will be given a task to upgrade your weapons.

Upgrading Weapons

To upgrade a weapon you need to head to the Blacksmith and choose Upgrade Weapons. After this you will choose the character you want and which of his weapons’ you’d like to upgrade.

By clicking on the weapon you’ve chosen you will get a window that allows you to either Level Up your weapon or Uncap it.

Leveling Up Weapons

To level up your weapons you will need Fortitude Shards or Fortitude Crystals. Fortitude Shards come in only one kind, while Fortitude Crystals can be either S, M, or L with each giving more EXP to your weapon.

You will need to use a certain amount of these Fortitude Shards or Fortitude Crystals to get your weapon to its current max level. After you have gotten your weapon to its max level it is time to uncap it.

Uncapping Weapons

After a weapon has reached its max level you need to uncap it in order to level it up further. To do this you will once again need to use the Blacksmith, however, instead of using the Level Up function you will this time choose the Uncap Max Level function.

Here you will be able to raise your weapons’ stars, increasing their max levels. Each weapon in the game has six stars, and can go up to Level 150.

Note that to uncap your weapons you will need materials, and the higher the stars of a weapon the more resources you will need.

However, it is also worth mentioning that you can use a Damascus Ingot, which can be obtained in the endgame, to instantly uncap a weapon without needing to spend any materials.
