LEGO Fortnite Guide: How to Make a Compass

LEGO Fortnite recently added handy compasses to the game. These tools let you see which way you're facing to make exploring the big brick world much easier. By gathering some common stuff and using crafting tables, you can make basic or fancy compasses. In this article, you will find all the information on how to make and craft a Compass in LEGO Fortnite.

How to Make a Compass in LEGO Fortnite?

There are two versions of the compass that can be crafted: the Basic Compass and the more advanced Survival Compass. Let us take a look at how to craft both of them one by one.

How to make a Basic Compass in LEGO Fortnite?

The Basic Compass adds a compass overlay pointing your current forward direction.

To craft:

• Gather 2 Glass
• Harvest 1 Wolf Claw
• Use Crafting Table

How to Get The Materials for Basic Compass?

• Glass uses sand & brightcore smelted in a Metal Smelter
• Wolf claws come from grassland wolves

How to make a Survival Compass in LEGO Fortnite?

The Survival Compass provides a directional compass AND nearby landmark icons.

To craft:

• Collect 5 Glass
• Loot 1 Sand Claw
• Smelt 1 Copper Bar

How to Get The Materials for Survival Compass?

• For Copper bars smelt copper ore & brightcore
• Sand claws come from desert wolves

Once you have gathered the necessary resources and materials, just take them to a Crafting Table in the game to assemble your Basic Compass or Survival Compass. Equip the finished compass in one of your tool slots and it will automatically enable the directional overlay during your building and exploration. No longer will you need to constantly check the full in-game map, as your compass keeps you oriented as you traverse the LEGO frontier.
