A huge patch is coming soon to League of Legends, as Patch 14.10 is looking to completely change the game by making huge changes to items, summoner spells, runes, and more! League of Legends prides itself on creating a life environment where balance changes are constantly added to keep the game fresh, fun, and rewarding.
With that in mind, we will review all of the possible changes coming to League of Legends by analyzing information from PBE datamines as well as taking a look at what we can expect to see in professional and ranked play.

LoL Patch 14.10 Marksman Item Changes
A lot of changes are being discussed by the dev team, as it seems there are several main points that Rioters are looking to address when examining Marksman items. The most essential points that are being addressed are:
- There are no perfect one-size-fits-all items for ADCs.
- The value of Attack Speed as a stat.
- Critical Strike and how it affects the core gameplay of most marksmen.
- Most completed items will offer 25% Crit Chance
- Items have a maximum of 2 stats

LoL Patch 14.10 Mid-Season ADC Item Changes
With the removal of Kircheis Shard and Stormrazor, all of the critical strike items saw a lot of changes to the recipes. Another massive change includes the experiment with turning Zephyr into a fully-fledged boot item in League of Legends.
The design philosophy behind these changes looks to further cement the ADC role as a reliable source of damage, thus encouraging teamplay over flashy item effects and active effects. Although some of these changes can seem controversial, like the Mercurial Scimitar's lack of crit chance and recipe cost increase, it seems that the LoL devs are looking to solidify ADCs as walking stat glass cannons whose skill expression will be limited to the amount of peel and their positioning in team fights.
However, players might find a lot of setbacks in ranked play. The reason behind this is the overwhelming amount of oppressive champions ultimately denying ADCs from effectively utilizing their sustained damage in fights, leading marksmen to be a supportive role instead of a carry potential threat.
Hopefully, this will have a positive effect as the League of Legends community has been complaining for quite some time about how ADCs feel left behind in terms of relevancy and power.
