Mario & Luigi: Brothership offers plenty of islands to explore, and they even have items and benefits that you can collect outside of the main story. Like many other games, this one provides players with the opportunity to fast-travel between point A and point B.

This is especially useful during events when bonuses tend to appear randomly for a limited amount of time. Additionally, sometimes you'll have to simply purchase gear and return quickly to your previous spot without wasting time. In this guide, we'll show you how to fast-travel in Mario & Luigi: Brothership.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership How To Fast Travel

Mario & Luigi: Brothership has two types of pipes: blue and green. They are designed to help you fast-travel between different islands, with the green ones transporting you between locations on the same island and the blue ones teleporting you to a brand-new piece of land. The latter can be found at the spot you first spawn in or on Shipshape Island. On the other hand, green pipes can only take you to set locations, and if you want to find them, you need to go further into the island.

To unlock a green pipe, you need to jump on top of it, and it'll take you to its predetermined location on the island. The blue pipes will show you a map of the islands you can visit once you interact with them. However, be aware that you cannot be transported to a place that hasn't been reconnected. For example, you can't use the green pipes on the island until you finish the story of this particular place.

Sometimes when you reach an island, you won't be able to explore it fully and get all the hidden rewards on the first try. Furthermore, after you leave, more content will appear, which gives you another reason to return. Here are some additional reasons to go back to previous islands.

  • Find Sprite Bulbs
  • Connect an island to open new paths and reach new locations
  • Go back with new tools to get past previous blocks

Keep in mind that most side quests will require you to return to past islands anyway, and the best news is that doing so will also help you level up before unlocking a new location. Have fun and good luck on your next adventure! For more information about Mario & Luigi: Brothership, you can check out this article.
