Metaphor: ReFantazio How To Prepare For Giant Sandworm's Belly Dungeon
Before even thinking about entering the Giant Sandworm's Belly, make sure to visit the Mysterious Old Man to get the Hero Incense and hit save by talking to More's cat. The moment you attack the Lump of Flesh, you'll enter this unique dungeon. It's important to mention that when you do so, you'll quickly notice that there is a timer in the top middle part of the screen.
The bad news is that when you run out of time, the digestive juices of the monster will spill and drown you. However, you can open the map to pause the timer if you really need a break. The ultimate goal is to figure out a way to leave the dungeon before the timer stops. We recommend avoiding most of the battles there because you won't make it out in time and picking up all the loot inside as quickly as you can.
Metaphor: ReFantazio Giant Sandworm's Belly Stage I
After you enter the Giant Sandworm's Belly, turn left, defeat the enemies, and open the chest with the Balm of Life. When you turn around and then left, take the path on the left side and avoid the monsters there because they are immune to all Physical attacks. At the end of the path, turn right and get the Hero's Leaf of Light from the chest.
Don't attack the Lump of Flesh, turn around and walk on the path with black stomach acid. Click on the dodge button as much as you can, since this will help you move quickly. Pick up all the loot on the way, and when you return to your starting position, turn right. Take down the Red Elmenta and keep walking until you see the plant-like monsters. Dodge their attacks and reach the other side.

Metaphor: ReFantazio Giant Sandworm's Belly Stage II
At the start of Stage II, you'll see four paths. Take the rightmost one first and pick up all the items there. Return to the beginning and go into the stomach acid. Don't forget to move as quickly as possible and collect all the loot there. Once you're done, turn right and take the thin path with the goo-plants.
This will lead you to the Fencer's Headgear item hidden in a chest. Go back around and get inside the second stomach acid area. If you've gathered all the items there, go back and take the last, leftmost path to start the battle against Homo Fios, which we recommend leaving for the end as it takes a long time.
Metaphor: ReFantazio How To Defeat Homo Fios
The best class to use against the Homo Fios in Metaphor: ReFantazio is Mage. The most useful strategy in this case is to switch the Archetypes of the whole team to Mage, as this will give you access to the Bot Fire Skill and allow you to attack the boss' weakness.
However, be aware that Homo Fios is very fast, and he'll use his Fishy Fandango Skill before the fight even starts. This boosts his Evasion and Hit Rate. We suggest using the Retry Battle function if an attack misses because otherwise, two turn icons will be lost and the Homo Fios will gain an advantage.
Weakness
Fire
- All Fire attacks are useful against the Homo Fios.
Resistances & Tips
Electric
- Tip: Guard the back row until your Hit Rate returns.
Light
- Tip: Don't use Synthesis attacks if you have more than two turns left.
Spamming Bot is a good way to deal with Homo Fios, and if you hit the Retry Battle button, the entire fight will reset, along with the timer, so you can try as many times as you want. Defeat the boss and open the treasure chest to pick up the Scorpion Sting.

Metaphor: ReFantazio How To Beat Parasitic Valmo
After you're done with Homo Fios, attack the Lump of Flesh to open a new path. It will help you reach the final chamber and fight the Parasitic Valmo. Unfortunately, he won't be fighting alone; he'll summon two Vampiric Gelatinos, who are immune to Physical and Fire DMG and weak to Ice and Lightning.
If you can't use Ice attacks against them, you can always deal Wind and Lightning damage. Moreover, try to avoid melee attacks, as the little monsters will counterattack them immediately. After you kill the Vampiric Gelatinos, focus on the Parasitic Valmo, who has the following weakness and resistance:
Weakness
Light
- To deal Lightning DMG, you can use the Kande Skill learned at Rank 6.
Resistance
Ice
- Avoid using Ice attacks against the Parasitic Valmo, as he won't be affected by them in any way.
Last but not least, you can inflict the Forget status on your enemy at the very beginning of the fight to prevent him from spawning his Vampiric Gelatinos. Have fun and good luck on your next adventure! For more information about Metaphor: ReFantazio, you can check out this article.
