Crops mutate from time to time and transform into Deviated crops. They can later be used in recipes that allow you to breathe underwater, deal more damage, or collect more materials from different locations.

Unlike regular crops, special Deviated Crops have pinkish fumes around them; this is how you can recognize them in the first place. There are two options when it comes to farming Deviated crops: you can simply wait for them to occur naturally and randomly around you, or you can cultivate them in a farm at your base under the right conditions.

Special Fertilizers

There are two fertilizers that can be extremely helpful if you're looking to create more mutated crops. The Fertilizer-Mutation Boost increases the probability that a crop will become Deviated, while the Improved Compound Fertilizer does the same but also increases the harvest time.

The latter is more resource-friendly, and the Fertilizer-Mutation Boost is more of a last resort option because it is very expensive to craft. However, they are both helpful, and which one you choose will depend on what materials you can spare.

Deviants

When it comes to making fertilizers, Deviated mushrooms are a must. However, you can also deploy some of the Teritorry Deviants in Once Human to not only help you farm but also acquire the mutated crops after.

One little trick to use when you have gathered enough Deviated mushrooms is to keep only Buzzy Bee Deviants around you. They will increase the mutation rates way more than Growshrooms.
