Without a doubt, Once Human offers endless options when it comes to resources and items you can use to make your life in the post-apocalyptic world easier. However, you don't need to obtain those materials only through farming.
You can take on the challenge to solve a puzzle instead. Devious Paintings are in-game events in the form of riddles scattered around the map, and we're here to tell you how to solve them.

Once Human Devious Painting Locations
There are three Devious Painting locations in Once Human: Chalk Peak, Red Sands, and Iron River. The latter is hands-down the best one, as it gives some of the most amazing rewards. Although the recommended level for this region is between 21 and 30, you can explore it even if you haven't progressed that much yet. Just be careful because the enemies will be more powerful.
Once you get to Iron River, go to the area with coordinates 5886, -4257. You'll find an ancient ruin there with a large tree in the middle, an artist's diary, and an empty canvas. Go under the tree, read the diary, and activate the Spacetime effect. It will reveal a painting on the canvas. Interact with it, and you'll get a location you need to visit.

Once Human How To Solve The Devious Painting Puzzle
Go to the area displayed on the canvas, and you'll soon stumble upon a blurry object that you can interact with. Of course, you will receive some rewards for completing the activity, such as Energy Links, resources, recipes, and controllers.
No matter which Devious Painting you're trying to crack, you can always use the same approach. Completing any of them at least once brings you a step closer to finishing the seasonal goal.
