The Version 2.1 livestream for Reverse: 1999 has just dropped, and during it, we received details about three new characters that will be joining the game’s expansive roster in the newest version. All three characters are classified as non-limited characters, so although we’ll have unique banners for the new 6-star characters, they will be added to the permanent character banner after the Version 2.4 update to the game. So if you’ve gone broke from pulling for Lucy, you can finally relax a bit, as there is currently no information on when we’ll be getting another limited character. That being said, Lucy is not the reason we’re here. Let’s not waste any more time and take a look at the three new upcoming characters, Tuesday, Barbara, and Argus.

Tuesday is a 6-star Spirit character that deals Mental damage. She is classified as a sub-DPS character who excels at applying [Poison] and dealing Genesis DMG based on the number of [Poison] stacks. The best thing? This Genesis DMG can crit, which makes Tuesday one hell of a sub-DPS character to have on your teams. Her reliance on the [Poison] debuff and her ability to use it efficiently make Tuesday a great pick for any [Poison] focused team, so Jessica might just get a new teammate!

Barbara is the only new 5-star character that is being added to this version, and she is once again a Spirit afflatus character who deals Mental damage. Barbara is more of a support character who is able to apply both buffs to the team and debuffs to enemies to help you in various situations. She is a very self-sufficient and AP-friendly character who is able to offer shields while also providing decent Mental DMG buffs, making her a good pick for some teams. That being said, she is unfortunately going to be overshadowed by other 6-star characters.

The final character we’ll be looking at today is Argus. Argus is a 6-star character from the Plant Afflatus that deals Reality damage. Similar to Tuesday, Argus leans more towards the sub-DPS role with her great single-target DPS potential and [Pinpointed] debuff, which both increase your team’s damage and their Critical Rate by a good amount. She is also a great support to almost any team, not only due to her [Pinpointed] debuff but also because of her first insights, which increase all allies’ DMG by a set amount based on the rank of Incantation Argus uses. All in all, a solid DPS character that you might want to consider adding to your roster
