Artifacts are not easy to find, and you'll have to deal with a lot of anomalies to get your hands on these items. Every time you see a ball of electricity or a bubble of toxic fumes, you'll know that you have a very big chance of obtaining an Artifact, but you'll have to investigate the entire area, which can be quite dangerous. However, the Detector will help you do so by emitting a beep sound every time you approach an anomaly.

Moreover, it will start blinking in blue if you get close to an Artifact. It's important to note that not all anomalies have hidden Artifacts, so don't enter the region unless the Detector is glowing in blue. Moreover, the items will not be revealed until you approach their exact location. Here's a full list of all anomaly types in the game and how to recognize them:

Burner

  • Small flames on the ground that turn into fire spouts when triggered.

Fruit Punch

  • Toxic puddles that release poisonous gas to lower your health.

Electro

  • Sparks come off nearby objects and emerge from the ground. When triggered, they explode.

Springboard

  • When you see a pile of leaves moving in a circle, you'll know that it's an anomaly. Once triggered, the leaves turn into a giant tornado.

Gas Bubble

  • The Gas Bubble anomaly is exactly what it says on the tin - a huge toxic bubble that approaches you slowly and bursts into smaller bubbles.

Vortex

  • This anomaly is almost invisible, and it seems like a glitch in space and time. It sucks in the space around you and transfers it to a different place.

Gas Cloud

  • Green concentrated gas clouds that deal acid damage and lower your health immensely.

Every Artifact in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is connected to a specific anomaly. Moreover, triggering an Artifact spawn in the first place will require you to pick a Repeatable Quest from Bar Owners, which will state Find an Artifact. You will also receive such missions on your PDA. For example, if you need to find the Battery, make sure you're only exploring Electric Anomaly Zones, as there's no chance that the item will appear anywhere else.

Generally, the type of Artifact you're looking for needs to correspond to the area. When you see an Artifact, save the game before you pick it up; this will make it respawn in the same spot later. It's also important to remember that you can always throw a Bolt towards the anomaly. This makes it explode and disables it for a few seconds.
