Stalker 2 - How To Save Vova Amalgam

The apocalyptic world of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will challenge your combat and survival skills like never before, so if you're ready to show your enemies who's the boss, make yourself comfortable and launch the new title right now! Apart from all the amazing rewards, weapons, and armor sets, the game has plenty of NPCs that are always ready to give you a side quest.

Although some of these missions are short, they all provide you with important information about the main story. Sooner or later, you'll meet Vova Amalgam, who you'll have to save. In this guide, we'll show you how to complete this task in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl and get the Rat King Artifact as a reward.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Vova Amalgam Location

Thankfully, Vova Amalgam is not that difficult to find. First, you need to reach the Electrical Field located in the north of the Detention Center in the Garbage Region of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Once you get there, you'll see that he's trapped in a field of electric anomalies. The more you approach him, the more clearly you'll hear him screaming and begging for your help.

When you get as close as you can, you'll notice that he's standing on a few wooden pallets, waiting for someone to save him. After he sees you, he'll ask you to help him and take him out of the hazardous zone. It's important to note that it's a good idea to manually save the game before approaching the NPC because this will allow you to reload the file if anything goes wrong. This is done because once you start the quest, you cannot repeat it.

Saving Vova Amalgam will require you to stop the anomaly before anything else. This is done by using a Bolt. These tools are there to signal you when you're getting close to an anomaly and they can also disable the distasters for a short period, allowing you to escape if you need to. To use one of them, open the Radial Menu by pressing the Tab button on your keyboard and select the item.

Once you're done, click the left button of your mouse and you'll be able to throw it. Make sure you're aiming at the edge of the anomaly. If you miss, don't worry; you have an endless amount of Bolts. After disabling the anomaly, approach Vova and speak to him. Select the option to help him and lead him out of the storm. Make sure that nothing is blocking your way and use another Bolt if you need more time.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl How To Get The Rat King Artifact

Just like every other NPC in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Vova Amalgam will give you a reward after you've completed his quest. Once you've escorted him to safety, he'll thank you and he'll walk away. Go after him and start a conversation one more time. Ask him for your reward and choose The Artifact option.

This will provide you with the Rat King Artifact. Exhaust the conversation with Vova and let him leave. Open your inventory and you'll find your reward there. The Rat King is perfect for those who are looking for resistance to bleeding and electrical damage. Moreover, its radiation side effects are almost unnoticeable and you can equip it in the early stages of the game.
