Elden Ring is a game filled with different enemies and boss battles. All of them are unique not only in terms of art, but also in combos, abilities, mechanics, and weaknesses. Some of them are very difficult to take down, but you probably already know this. In this article, we will take a look at the 10 most difficult bosses to beat in Elden Ring.

10. Godfrey, The First Elden Lord

Godfrey has some insane Greataxe damage, to begin with. When he reaches half health, he enters the next stage of the battle, fighting melee with his bare hands as Hoarah Loux. He's highly resistant to Holy damage and the Sleep status effect, so opt for something else. However, decent Pierce and Lightning damage in the first phase, and Slash damage in the second, will destroy him.

9. Beast Clergyman / Maliketh

You might encounter this boss early on, but he's difficult to defeat. He doesn't seem that dangerous until he transforms into Maliketh. Don't waste Holy damage on him; try using Standard, Slash, Strike, and Pierce damage instead.

8. Mohg, God of Blood

This boss will confront you with dangerous blood magic. It's a tough battle, especially if you rely on fire damage, which won't do much against him, as well as being unable to parry him. Instead, rely on Standard, Slash, Strike, Pierce Damage, and the Hemorrhage status effect.

7. Dragonlord Placidusax

There are many dragons in Elden Ring's world, but this one is a mighty foe. You'll be knocked down, barely having time to react, and the boss will easily evade your attacks. Be prepared and maybe opt for pierce damage. Keep in mind that Magic, Fire, Lightning, Holy, Poison, Scarlet Rot status effect, Hemorrhage status effect, and Frostbite damage are useless against this dragon.

6. Starscourge Radhan

Starscourge Radhan is an optional boss, but defeating him is required for the Age of Stars ending. Watch out for his flaming comets, as they can deal insane damage. In the second phase, he will turn into a comet, making things extra difficult. Opt for Pierce damage and the Scarlet Rot status effect, which will help you in this very hard battle.

5. Crucible Knight Ordovis and Crucible Tree Knight

The first duo fight on this list but not the only one. It's an optional but very difficult fight. Your Magic and Holy damage won't do much against these two, however, Fire and Lightning will help you out. Although they deal a lot of damage, they're slow, which is great for you.

4. Astel

Astel is a tough foe, as magical attacks will only make him stronger. He is immune to Magic, Fire, Lightning, Holy, and Frostbite damage but weak to Slash, Strike, and Pierce Damage. Be prepared for his dangerous shock wave when attempting to attack his melee. Opt for long-range damage, or you'll get hit by a laser beam.

3. Ragadon

Ragadon is the epic final boss of Elden Ring, and there's no way he wouldn't be on this list. The first stage of the battle isn't that complicated, but the second one is where things get interesting when you need to defeat the Elden Beast. The biggest issue here is that you'll have to carry on with the HP Ragadon left you with. The beast is very elusive and fast, making it difficult for you to catch it. Aim for the glowing center for some extra damage.

2. Goldskin Duo

Dual-boss fights are always difficult, but this one takes the cake. Godskin Apostle and Godskin Noble are formidable foes that must be taken down simultaneously. If you kill just one of them, the other one will use a special move to resurrect it. Their weaknesses are Slash, Sleep, and Hemorrhage status effect.

Malenia's healing ability is what will really get you, paired with some decent damage. She's a one-shot killer you should be prepared for. Malenia is also very mobile, easily dodging your attacks. Your Poison, Rot, and Holy damage won't affect this boss. The second phase of this Elden Ring boss battle is even harder to beat, as she transforms into the Goddess of Rot and can easily wipe out your entire health bar.
