GRIP is inspired by the famous anime Initial-D but is set in a futuristic environment.

The story revolves around Jae Kang, who, along with other racers, battles against the spread of AI-controlled cars. These smart cars are the product of a company called SynthCorp, with the CEO Dr. Synth aiming to eliminate all human-driven cars. Driving his Toyota GR Corolla, Jae Kang fights against Dr. Synth's agenda, using his driving skills and love of speed to his advantage.
