Valorant Patch 9.0, also known as Episode 9 Act 1, is just around the corner, and we are eagerly anticipating the new season. Although we received some massive changes in Patch 8.11, fans are still expecting a lot from the new update, including new maps, Agent buffs, and some necessary bug fixes. There have been numerous glitches and accidental buffs found in the game ever since Patch 8.11 was released.
Neon's accuracy was accidentally buffed to no end, and Iso's Double Tap ability became so powerful that he is now absolutely unstoppable. Thankfully, Riot Games has taken into consideration all the posts and comments, and they are now planning some improvements. They are also adding a few changes to the general rules for releasing new Patches. Let's take a look at the details.

Valorant Patch Rules & Changes
Valorant Patch 9.0 is scheduled to be released on June 25, 2024, and it will bring some changes to the in-game content when it comes to timing. New Valorant Patches will no longer release new Agents, maps, Battle Passes, or skins at the same time as the gameplay adjustments are made. Usually, we receive a wide range of content all at once, but we will now have to get used to a completely new system.
Starting with Patch 9.0, new content will be available in-game the day AFTER the patch release, with store updates coming the day after that.

Riot Games also clarified that if one region gets Patch releases on Tuesday, for example, new content will arrive in-game on Wednesday, and the store will update on Thursday. In order to avoid confusion, Valorant developers also provided a more detailed explanation to avoid any confusion. Let's dive into the details!
Valorant Patch Updates Changes
According to Riot Games, new Patches will no longer include cosmetics, rank refreshes, or any new content other than pure balance changes. In order to get everything that Valorant has to offer, fans will have to wait a little bit longer. The news was officially announced on June 20, 2024, only a few days before the release of the new Patch 9.0. From now on, you can expect the following content to arrive after the Patch is released:
- Agents
- Maps
- Acts
- Rank refreshes
- Battle Passes
- Skins (2 days after Patch release)
All other improvements and additions, such as balance changes to existing Agents, main menu background video, and login screen art, will be released at the same time as the new Patch drops. To make it even more clear, if Valorant Patch 9.0 is released on June 25, 2024, you will be able to get content such as new maps and Battle Pass rewards on the following day, June 26, 2024.

Valorant Patch Changes Reviews
The new changes that Riot Games made for the Patch releases seem to have upset a big portion of the Valorant community. People are complaining about accessing the content at different times and the fact that it's getting too confusing. However, other fans are definitely positive about the changes.
If you release everything at once, then you are likely going to introduce a lot of bugs at once as well. If you release them over 3 days, that gives you time to test each thing individually over 24 hours.
