With World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic in full swing, players are slowly beginning their new adventures in the shattered and chaotic world of Azeroth, as the elements rage against the new foe threatening the very balance of life itself- Deathwing.

Given the many changes that were originally introduced in the Cataclysm expansion, newer players might find themselves wondering where is the end-game content and how they can start gearing up their characters. 

With that being said, we will take a look at the recent announcement for the upcoming PvP Season 9 as well as the first Raid Dungeons that will become available to players soon.

WoW Cataclysm Classic: PvP Season 9 Details

The first PvP Season for Cataclysm Classic comes with the weekly reset on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Rated Arenas, Battlegrounds as well as the ability to earn Conquest Points for powerful PvP gear and weapons. If you enjoy doing PvP, then look forward to the two new battlegrounds: 

  • Battle for Gilneas - a 10v10 battleground in a similar fashion to the beloved Arathi Basin.
  • Twin Peaks - Cataclysm's take on Warsong Gulch as this 10v10 capture-the-flag battleground with a built-in 25-minute timer. 

Given how many PvP changes were added to Cataclysm, players will find it very fun to experiment with their favorite classes and new abilities in an effort to climb the competitive ranks to earn prestigious titles and cosmetics.

WoW Cataclysm Classic Phase 1 Raid Dungeons Details

The first three raids for Cataclysm Classic are launching on May 30, 2024, at 3:00 pm PDT globally. The Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent, and Throne of the Four Winds will all be available to level 85 players to conquer as they will all include 10-man Normal and Heroic difficulty as well as 25-man Normal and Heroic difficulty. 

The Bastion of Twilight

This iconic raid will have you battle the Twilight Hammer, a terrifying cult looking to resurrect the reign of the Old Gods as you face their twisted leader Cho'gall.

Blackwing Descent

Deathwing seems to have reanimated the fallen Nefarian, so you are tasked with taking him down once more and putting an end to Nefarian's gruesome experiments of creating a new breed of dragon.

Throne of the Four Winds

Who can forget the infamous Al’Akir the Windlord whose lair you besiege in an attempt to stop his rampage on Uldum and stop him from controlling the titan-forged Halls of Origination. This raid offers a lot of random enchantments to the gear, so it will be a free-for-all to get what you need.
