Darkmoon Faire Basics

The Darkmoon Faire starts on the first Sunday of each month in WoW and runs for a week. To get to the carnival, players can use portals in Elwynn Forest (Alliance) and Mulgore (Horde). They can pay a Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Dalaran to teleport them there.

WoW players need Darkmoon Game Tokens for attractions, available for purchase from vendors Sazz Coincatcher, Zina Sharpworth, and Trixi Sharpworth.

Players earn Darkmoon Prize Tickets by completing games and quests at the Darkmoon Faire, which can be used to get various items.

  • You Got the Beat: Earn a perfect score on Easy one time.
  • Feeling It: Earn a perfect score on Easy 10 times.
  • What A Feeling: Earn a perfect score on Medium one time.
  • Can't Stop the Feeling: Earn a perfect score on Medium 10 times.
  • Make you Sweat: Earn a perfect score on Hard one time.
  • Maniac on the Dance Floor: Earn a perfect score on Hard 10 times.
  • Dancing Machine: Earned by completing the achievements Feeling It, Can't Stop the Feeling, Maniac on the Dance Floor.

  • Dance Dance Darkmoon toy: Summons a stage, forcing the caster to keep dancing!

Visit Dance Master Simon Sezdans for the daily quest "Dance Dance Darkmoon!" and receive Darkmoon Game Prizes as a reward for your performance.

  • Darkmoon Carousel: Players can ride on a rocket, gryphon, wyvern, dragon, or murloc, gaining the 'WHEE!' buff.

Blight Boar Concert

Experience literal death metal every half hour at the Cauldron of Rock. Join the band, battle the Death Metal Knight, and claim prizes like Chain-Linked Cage Helm and Necromedes, the Death Resonator.

Find the fortune teller Sayge, answer her questions, and receive a buff.

Darkmoon Quests

Join the daily minigames to earn Darkmoon Prize Tickets, boost your Darkmoon Faire reputation, and uncover some Dragonflight surprises! To partake in any of the six games acquire a Game Token. 

Minigames:

  • Test your Strength: Collect 250 Grisly Trophies by killing creatures 
  • Firebird's Challenge: Collect at least 15 rings while flying 
  • Whack-a-Gnoll: Whack a normal gnoll for one point and a Hogger gnoll for three points
  • The Humanoid Cannonball: Launch from the Blastenheimer 5000 Ultra Cannon, aiming for the target in the water. Score five points for a bullseye, three for landing close, and one for proximity. Get just five points to complete the quest
  • Shooting Stall: You have just 60 seconds to win 25 points by shooting targets as they light up
  • Aim at the Turtle: Rings, a turtle with a spike – your task? Make three successful throws out of 10 attempts
  • Tank Battle Simulator: Destroy 30 'Tonk Targets' in 60 seconds to win a Darkmoon Game Prize and 45 Tonk Targets to score a Darkmoon Tonk Controller toy

  • Darkmoon Artifact: Collect artifacts with a Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide.

WoW players can defeat the Darkmoon Rabbit and Moonfang for some amazing rewards, such as rare pets and toys.

PvP

Enter PvP matches in the Darkmoon Deathmatch Pit every three hours, starting at midnight. Win to embark on the Master Pit Fighter quest, earning the Returning Champion Heirloom trinket.

  • Firebird’s Challenge: Brood of Alysrazor Fly through 50 Blazing Rings in a single flight session during Firebird’s Challenge and claim the Blazing Wings as your reward.
  • Triumphant Turtle Tossing Achieve the feat of successfully tossing 10 rings onto Dubenko the Darkmoon Turtle in a single session of Ring Toss to earn the Darkmoon Ring-Finger.
  • Whack-a-Gnoll: That’s Whack! Score 45 points in one session of Whack-a-Gnoll to be rewarded with Hogs’ Studded Collar.
