Blizzard recently unveiled a lot of information for its upcoming World of Warcraft - The War Within. We will be diving into the new and improved dynamic flying which will build upon the Dragonriding that was introduced in Dragonflight.

It seems that the developers are looking to further expand how players can traverse and navigate the game as you will be able to explore at your own pace and choose how to approach exploration and travel.

Many players were happy to see Blizzard integrate the new flying system in the old world as it seems you will be able to soar across the skies in style in The War Within. We will go through everything we know so far and what players can expect from the upcoming expansion.

WoW: What is Dynamic Flying?

WoW Dynamic Flying
Blizzard

Dynamic Flying is a system that allows players to more openly control their mount, and their speed as well as gain access to special abilities that help you travel much smoother and faster across zones. The system incorporates Vigor as a resource that is generated through flight which as a result will help you speed up your mount or use other abilities to help you reach your desired destination.

In a recent video, the developers shared that players will gain access to this new system as soon as level 15, meaning you can start adventuring very early into the game.

Players will be able to switch between two flight modes, namely dynamic flying (Skyriding) and regular flying (Steady Flight). This will allow for players to choose their preferred way of travel.

Everything You Need to Know about Dynamic Flight

A lot of changes will be introduced to the original Dragonriding system, as this immersive way of travel will be adjusted to better fit the overall leveling system and endgame. Customization will still be available for specific mounts. You will earn dynamic flight skills while leveling up, as Glyphs will no longer be tied to dynamic flight progression.

You will be able to freely switch between the two flight modes, but you will first need to explore and level up in the new Khaz Algar zone to be able to switch to traditional flying there. Flying courses will still be a part of the game, as now courses will offer more achievements and new challenges.

Over 440 mounts will be available to use dynamic flight, as there will be two new mounts that will have a lot more flair in the new expansion. The Delver's Dirigible will let you customize it a lot more than your standard options and The Algarian Stormrider will have a unique Vigor bar and its own special ability when flying.
