The War Within Ara-Kara, City of Echoes Dungeon
This new WoW dungeon is located in the City of Threads, southwest of Azj-Kahet at /way 52.1 45.7. The instance has two floors with a total of 3 bosses you need to defeat in order to clear it:
- Avanoxx
- Anub'zekt
- Ki'katal the Harvester
You will need to summon the first boss, Avanoxx, by killing three mini-bosses called Ixin, Nakt, and Atik. They are marked on your map when you enter the instance.
You may notice that there are several Discordant Attendants that Tailors with at least 25 Skill can interact with, giving you a Silk Thread capable of stunning mobs for 10 seconds! The item can be used on the mini-bosses as well.
Avanoxx Trash Guide
Before you get to the first boss, here are some tips as to how to deal with the trash:
- You should prioritize Trilling Attendants as their Resonant Barrage can deal massive damage to your party. Make sure to interrupt Web Bolt when possible as well.
- Watch out for the Venomous Spit that Engorged Crawlers cast. At 20% health, they cast Toxic Rupture which creates a small ring around the mob that deals damage and knocks back players.
- Jabbing Flyers have a stacking Bleeding Jab that you should be aware of.

Avanoxx Guide
Here is what you should know when fighting the first boss of the Ara-kara dungeon. You will need to manage the countless adds during the encounter.
- Gossamer Onslaught deals party-wide damage as well as create small indicators on the ground which you should sidestep. Make sure to avoid the webbing it spawns as a stacking debuff is applied which slows you and deals damage. Upon getting 10 stacks of the debuff, you are encased in webbing for 10 seconds.
- Alerting Shrill deals party-wide damage and summons Starved Crawlers you need to kite and kill. The adds have a stacking buff that increases their damage so watch out.
- Voracious Bite is a strong tank buster that inflicts a debuff that increases damage taken by 15 seconds.
Mythic Mechanics:
- Insatiable has to be taken into consideration as you must not allow Starved Crawlers to reach the boss as they will grant a stacking buff that increases damage dealt by 50%.
Avanoxx Role Tips
- Tanks should use defensive cooldowns when Voracious Bite is cast.
- Healers should mind the AoE damage from Gossamer Onslaught and Alerting Shrill.
- DPS must use their crowd control on the Starved Crawlers and avoid Webbing on the ground.

You will need to avoid pools on the ground until the boss uses his ultimate ability. Throughout the fight, Bloodworkers will spawn around the arena. When damaged, they will drop Black Blood on the ground, similar to Winged Carriers.
- Venom Volley reduces movement speed and applies a Nature DoT to all players.
- Erupting Webs mark the arena with small indicators that stun players.
- Cosmic Singularity is a channeled ability that pulls players in. Upon finishing, the boss deals massive Shadow damage and knocks back players. You also get the Faded debuff if you manage to get hit by the ability. You can use the Black Blood to avoid getting sucked in.
Mythic Mechanics:
- The boss casts Cultivated Poisons instead of Venom Volley. Upon ending, the ability emits wave you should dodge.
- Only one player can use a Black Blood pool, whereas on Normal/Heroic every player can use the same pool to avoid Cosmic Singularity.
Ki'katal the Harvester Role Tips
- Tanks should watch out for the pools on the ground as you move the boss around. Make sure to position the boss away from the pools right before Cosmic Singularity.
- Healers should keep everyone topped up due to the Nature damage from Venom Volley.
- DPS should damage workers so they drop pools on the ground.
