Finally after almost two decades of World of Warcraft raiding and endgame content comes a much-needed quality-of-life change. Not only are the swirlies on the floor difficult to dodge given how they do not have a definite outline, but it also spoke volumes of Blizzard's priorities when it comes to fun and fair gameplay.

With that being said, we will take a look at what we can expect the new swirlies to look like to make raiding and Mythic+ content much easier come Season 2 of The War Within.

Given how vocal the community has been for the last couple of years regarding the outright badly-designed swirly graphics indicating a boss' ability on the ground. In recent videos and showcases of The War Within 11.1 PTR, players will have more visible outlines so they can effectively reposition and avoid unnecessary damage.

Keep in mind, the changes are subject to change as the devs further tweak and modify updates to the game, but we should now have a better understanding of what to expect in Patch 11.1. Dorki has a great clip showcasing the new swirly graphics:

You can now clearly see the outlines of the ability, making it much easier to move your character away from the danger. It is a shame how long it took Blizzard to finally listen to the community and following the rather abrupt removal of the AVR addon that implemented a much better design 15 years ago.

Despite the plethora of backlash Blizzard has received in terms of the Raid designs and Mythic+ encounters, it is nice to see the dev team more open to player suggestions, as World of Warcraft could potentially grow into a much more enjoyable and challenging experience for players of all calibers.
