We will take a closer look at what we know so far about the new dynamic ground mount coming in the next major update for The War Within.

As showcased in the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct stream, the dev team has whipped up a brand new stylish ride for players to drift around Undermine, and given the speed-friendly environment the Goblins have built for themselves, drifting will play a key part in your traversal.

Not only is this very exciting news for people preferring ground mounts, but it also opens the possibility of expanding the range of mounts that can use this new system, just like how Skyriding was introduced in Dragonflight. Blizzard have been cooking a lot with The War Within, and we might expect even more quality-of-life changes.

Not only will the new D.R.I.V.E. Kart be faster than typical ground mounts, but it will be customizable for players not only in visual appearance but maneuverability features as well. From modifying your drift, acceleration, top speed, and grip, you will get to decide how you prefer to ride your stylish new vehicle in the Undermine.

If the community reacts positively to this change of pace, then we can possibly expect the devs to start tweaking most ground mounts to accommodate higher speeds via more interactive gameplay similar to dragon riding which has been a huge success.

We will be looking forward to what else Blizzard Entertainment has in store for its players, with housing being on the way once the new expansion rolls out, anything seems possible. You can also check out our other Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct articles, here:
