If you’ve been following us, you already know that Version 1.4 will bring a ton of new content to Zenless Zone Zero, such as two new interesting characters and serious changes to the Decibel System that are expected to drastically change the gameplay flow. However, in addition to these changes, players should start saving up their energy, as two new drive disc sets will be added to the game, and if you’re planning on pulling for either Miyabi or Harumasa, then you’ll definitely need to be farming. Let’s see what these sets have in store for us!

Two New Drive Disc Sets
The two new drive disc sets are known as Astral Voice and Branch & Blade Song. Both of these sets will feature effects highly catered towards Harumasa and Miyabi, with even the set’s pictures indicating that they have been made specifically for these two characters. Below you can find more information about both sets.

Astral Voice

Effect |
2-Piece: Increases ATK by 10%. 4-Piece: When any team member enters the field through [Quick Assist], the entire team gains 1 stack of [Melody], stacking up to 3 times, lasting for X seconds. Repeated triggers refresh the duration. Each stack of [Melody] increases the DMG dealt by the Agent entering through [Quick Assist] by 8%. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. |
The Astral Voice set will be a unique set that will assist agents who tend to use the Quick Assist function. This is clearly a decent support set that will be able to increase a certain champion’s DMG by up to 24%, which is definitely nothing to scoff at, given how much even an increase of 10% can make. That being said, this increase comes at a price, and that is to constantly perform Quick Assists. While some characters can help with this, it may prove to be a difficult set to stack up if you’re fighting against enemies that do not tend to attack often, or if you do not have a huge roster of characters to make use of the set.

Branch & Blade Song

2-Piece: Increases CRIT DMG by 16%. 4-Piece: When Anomy Mastery is greater than or equal to 115, the wearer's CRIT DMG is increased by 30%. When any team member applies [Freeze] or triggers [Shatter] on an enemy, the wearer's CRIT Rate is increased by 12% for 15 seconds. |
This set is without a doubt highly catered towards Miyabi. Not only does its 2-piece effect increase CRIT DMG%, but its 4-piece effect is highly catered towards Anomaly characters that stack with CRIT DMG and the Ice element effects. From what we have right now, Miyabi is the only Anomaly character that benefits from CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, while also being the only Ice Anomaly Agent as of Version 1.4, so it is clear where the developers are going with this set. It is highly likely that this set will be useless on any character apart from Miyabi in the current version of the game, but who knows, it might just begin to shine as we start getting more characters in the future!
