Lighter is finally out, and if you have decided to spend your precious Polychromes to try and get him and his W-Engine, now you’re probably wondering what teams you can use him in. Well, you’re not alone. Luckily, Lighter can be used in various teams that include either a Fire or Ice DPS unit, as those are the elements that Lighter can buff the most. On the other hand, Lighter cannot buff any other element, so using him in teams that do not have Fire or Ice agents feels somewhat strange.

Lighter Best Teams
When it comes to Lighter’s teams, you’ll always want to use him alongside an Ice or Fire DPS, as he is capable of boosting the damage of those DPS units by up to 75% while also providing 15% Elemental Shred to both Ice and Fire elements. Using Lighter with any other Elemental DPS would just be a mockery, as you’ll not be using him at his potential at all and will be greatly missing out. With that out of the way, let’s look at some of his best teams.

Ice Team

The premium Lighter Ice Team consists of the following agents:

- Lycaon
- Ellen
In this team, you have two Stun units that actually synergize amazingly well with one another. Lighter, for starters, does not need a lot of on-field time, which makes him a great character to use with Lycaon, who in turn prefers being on-field due to needing to spam his hold attacks. Both of these characters are able to Stun enemies quickly while also providing a ton of buffs to the Ice element, allowing Ellen to shine. The added +3 seconds to Stun duration from Lighter’s kit also helps out Ellen a ton due to most of her damage occurring when the enemy is in a Stun state.

Soldier 11 has just been getting better and better with the addition of the newest characters, and she is once again eating well with the introduction of Lighter. Lighter gives Soldier 11 everything she needs, from increased Fire DMG to a better Stun duration, helping to bring out even more of Soldier 11’s strengths. In addition, he also applies Burn to enemies, which further helps with the effect of the Inferno Metal Drive Disc. Lastly, we can’t forget about Lucy and her amazing ATK% buffs and off-field damage, which further boost the team’s strengths.

The best free-to-play team for Lighter consists of the following agents:
- Lucy
- Lighter
- Piper
Sadly, there is no good free-to-play team you can use with Lighter due to him only buffing Ice and Fire DPS agents. Given that there are currently no 4-star alternatives for these units, we are stuck with having to grasp at straws to try and make something usable. The way we’ve gone with this is using both Lucy and Piper. This is because both Lucy and Lighter can easily apply the Burn status on the enemy, which Piper can then use to produce some big Disorder hits. While not ideal, this is a good alternative if you do not happen to have either Ellen or Soldier 11.
