Both situations for crouching (spray or swinging) are habits from CSGO because of the "acceleration based movement" in CSGO. The crouch peak is a tactic of AWP players in CSGO they jiggle a corner see a rifle player, then they swing letting go of keys to "slide" out into the angle and crouch as they "slide", this throws off the crosshair placement of higher skill rifle players and they get the 1-shot kill with the AWP, this is the same reason that some will crouch to control their spray, at higher ranks people flick head level, a crouch can duck their first flick shot buying you 2-3 more bullets to finish a kill. The crouch peaking tactic doesn't work in Valorant at all because there is not a large "slide" when you let go of your movement keys. The crouching in a spray really only works when you have someone super weak already, you have hit your first 2-3 bullets and need 1-2 more to finish the kill, the crouch is indented to make them miss their flick 1-tap so it only works against better players whom flick head level, so at lower ranks don't do it you could be just giving them a free head shot rather then tacking 2 shots to the stomach / chest.
