The Season of the Malignant, launched on July 20, has witnessed its fair share of highs and lows. The release of Patch 1.1.0 alongside it sparked significant discontent among Diablo 4 players. However, Blizzard's subsequent efforts to mend the situation have managed to alleviate some of the concerns.

Central to this seasonal chapter is the confrontation with Varshan the Consumed, whose corruption has further tainted the sanctuary beyond its initial state during the campaign. Players can amass Malignant Hearts from adversaries, unlocking substantial power-ups to wage war against Varshan.

The Season Journey and the accompanying battle pass have captivated a majority of players, yet a subset has expressed a sense of monotony. For these players, anticipation is building for the inception of a new season. However, the current season must conclude before this transition can occur.

When Will Diablo 4 Season of the Malignant Conclude?

The curtain falls on Diablo 4 Season 1 on October 17, marking the culmination of nearly 12 weeks since its inception. This timeline provides players ample opportunity to immerse themselves in the seasonal content and complete the battle pass.

Up until this juncture, you can continue to elevate the prowess of your seasonal characters, bolstered by the advantages of Malignant Hearts and seasonal gear. Nevertheless, the dynamics shift for these characters upon the season's conclusion.

Post-season, What Awaits Diablo 4 Season of the Malignant?

With the season's end, your seasonal characters will be transported to the Eternal Realm, but rest assured, no bans will be imposed for this transition. However, these characters will forfeit access to seasonal content, including Malignant Hearts.

The Season Journey and battle pass privileges will no longer be accessible, although your seasonal character remains at your disposal. Blizzard has outlined plans for four seasons annually. Bearing this schedule in mind, the subsequent season is anticipated to commence roughly a week after October 17.
