Black Myth Wukong - Mad Tiger Quest Walkthrough

The Mad Tiger is a boss in Chapter 2 of Black Myth Wukong, and although fighting this enemy is optional, it's worth trying because he will drop some valuable rewards at the end.

The quest begins by challenging the Tiger's Acolyte boss and acquiring the Old Rattle-Drum. Without this item, you will not be able to locate the Mad Tiger boss at all, so follow this guide to find and defeat him as quickly as possible.

Black Myth Wukong How To Get The Old Rattle-Drum

Tiger's Acolyte is one of the many opponents you will encounter in Black Myth Wukong, and he can be found on a bridge in the Windrest Hamlet of the Yellow Wind Formation. To get there, you must defeat the Tiger Vanguard at the Crouching Tiger Temple first.

The good news is that you don't have to deal with the Stone Vanguard to reach the Windrest Hamlet Shrine unless you feel ready. Once you reach the Shrine, turn left and cross the bridge. Go down the hill and you'll find another bridge; that's where Tiger's Acolyte will be waiting for you.

Progress through the main story in Chapter 2 until you find the Windseal Gate Keeper's Shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation. Keep in mind that you can also fast-travel there if you've already discovered that location.

Once you get to the Shrine, enter the ruined village and walk across the wooden bridge. Turn left, and you'll reach a misty area where you can use the Old Rattle-Drum you obtained after your fight with the Tiger's Acolyte boss.

The next area you need to find is the Windrest Hamlet of the Yellow Wind Formation. Leave the Windrest Hamlet Keeper's Shrine and go into the village located close by.

When you pass the gates, turn left and you'll stumble upon another misty area; that's where you need to use the Old Rattle-Drum again.

Next, discover or fast-travel to the Valley of Despair Keeper's Shrine in the Sandgate Village. Cross the wooden bridge and enter the village. Once you get there, look for an exit in the walls. Walk through it and use the Old Rattle-Drum in the gray area.

A child will appear in front of you, and it will invite you to jump into the well to meet an old friend - Mad Tiger. It's important to note that your battle against the boss will begin immediately after you get into the well, so be prepared!

Black Myth Wukong How To Defeat The Mad Tiger

Mad Tiger is aggressive, and he uses a lot of quick melee combat and AoE attacks. Thankfully, he isn't that difficult to defeat, and the most important thing is to always try to maintain your distance from him, or he will deal a lot of damage. The Immobilize Spell will be your best friend during this battle, and you can always use it if you feel like you can't dodge an attack.

Don't forget to utilize your transformations as well! Additionally, make sure that you're paying attention and memorizing his attacks; he becomes predictable easily, especially when it comes to his series of slashing attacks.

As with every other boss in Black Myth Wukong, Mad Tiger will drop a few cool rewards after you defeat him. Here are all the items that you can expect to receive after the fight:
