Diablo 4 Season 4 is out, and if you were disappointed when the game was released last year, now is the perfect time to jump back in. Season 4 is titled 'Loot Reborn,' and while there won't be any big themes or mechanics surrounding it, there will be more than enough new content for players to sink their teeth into. The new Pit of Artificers endgame dungeon, the Uber Andariel boss fight, and many changes to Helltides will provide players with new content, even for a season that is mostly centered around reworks. The endgame boss ladder has also undergone significant changes, with all of the bosses receiving a harder 'tormented' version of their fight, as well as some updates to their Unique item loot tables.

One of these bosses is Grigoire, and not only is he a fun and challenging fight that can reward you with some of the best gear in the game, but he is also part of the summoning process for Uber Duriel. In this article, we will show you how you can summon Grigoire while also providing you with the full list of items that can drop from him.

Grigoire Location & Summon Requirements

Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint can be found in the Hall of the Penitent dungeon in the Dindai Flats zone of the Dry Steppes. It's just south of the Ked Bardu waypoint so you will be able to access it fairly quickly. Once you enter the Hall of the Penitent, you will have to go through a few packs of monsters before reaching the summoning altar at the boss arena.

Summoning Grigoire requires 5x Living Steel, a resource that can be found in the Helltide open-world events. All of the different Tortured Offering chests will provide you with a certain amount of Living Steel, with the highest amount dropping from the Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest.

Helltides spawn every hour and last for 55 minutes, with a 5-minute gap that resets the amount of Cinders you have acquired. All of the different chests in the Helltide events cost a certain amount of Cinders to open, with the Living Steel chest requiring 250.

Since the release of Season 4, Living Steel can now drop from other sources, such as Elites, Local Events, Whisper Caches, Treasure Goblins, and the new Hellborne enemies from Helltides. This will make it much easier to farm the materials needed to summon Grigoire, but due to these drops being random, the best way to focus farm Living Steel is still through the Tortured Gift chests in Helltides.

How to Summon Tormented (Uber) Grigoire

Tormented Grigoire is a level 200 version of the original boss fight, making him much more difficult to defeat but also much more rewarding. You can summon the tormented version of Grigoire through the same altar in his arena, but you are going to need three times as many materials, as well as 2 Stygian Stones. Stygian Stones can be found by completing the new Pit of Artificers endgame dungeon at higher levels. Here are the materials needed in order to summon Tormented Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint:

Each time you defeat Tormented Grigoire you are going to receive 5 times the amount of loot, and for your first victory over him you are also going to be rewarded with a Resplendent Spark, which can be used to craft Uber Unique items, such as the Harlequin Crest.
