Diablo 4’s newest Loot Reborn update has been out for a little over a week now, and all of the big features and reworks that were introduced to the game have been received very positively by the community. The newly introduced itemization system, as well as the many new additions to the endgame gameplay loop, have made it a lot more interactive and much less like a chore. For the longest time, the game only had a single way of progressing your character in the endgame. However, with each update adding more and more content, players are finally able to have a few different activities when it comes to gearing up. One of these new endgame features is the Pit of the Artificer dungeon, which is the ultimate test for your character, as it has 200 levels of increasing difficulty, with the final level being said to be impossible.
If you want to try your hand at this dungeon, you are going to need a specific amount of Runeshards, which is a brand new resource introduced in Season 4. Here is everything you need to know about how Runeshards work and where you can get more of them!

What Are Runeshards Used For in Diablo 4 Season 4?
Runeshards are a new resource that was added in Diablo 4 Season 4. Runeshards are used each time you start a new level of the Pit of the Artificer endgame dungeon, the entrance of which can be found in the city of Cerrigar in Scosglen. Each attempt at the Pit of the Artificer dungeon is going to cost you 3 Runeshards. You can check the amount of Runeshards you have on your character by opening up the resources tab of the 'Stats and Materials' section of your inventory.
Since the Pit of the Artificer contains all of the materials needed in order to Masterwork your gear, Runeshards are one of the most valuable resources in Diablo 4 Season 4.
