Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred: Best Necromancer Builds Tier List (Season 6)

The Infinimist Necromancer is an amazing starter build for any season. This build combines Blood Mist, Corpse Explosion, and Decrepify to create devastating AoE damage, making it highly effective for clearing mobs. While it may struggle with single-target damage, especially against bosses in the early stages, once you obtain key items, the build becomes a powerhouse for endgame content. If you’re looking to progress your character as fast as possible at the beginning of the new Torment difficulties, the Infinimist is a great choice for Vessel of Hatred.

While the Minion Necromancer build was one of the strongest options in the game recently, it has unfortunately suffered with all of the new changes that surrounding Vessel of Hatred. It is still one of the strongest Necromancer builds, as well as the strongest minion build in the game, but there are better scaling options out there. If you are interested in a chill build that does not require a lot of actions-per-minute, don't be afraid of using the Minion Necromancer, especially in the earlier stages of the endgame!

The Blood Surge Necromancer has cemented its place as one of the top early-to-mid game builds. Blood Surge delivers some of the best AoE damage, with its power scaling based on the number of enemies, and it offers nearly endless sustain through easy Source regeneration. While it struggles a bit against bosses and elites, it’s visually stunning and effective in clearing large packs of enemies. This build is tanky and reliable for beginners, making it a strong choice before transitioning into more gear-dependent builds.

Another versatile Necromancer build is Blood Lance, which fires a projectile that passes through enemies, linking and debuffing them. Though it lacks focused single-target damage, making it less effective against tougher bosses, Blood Lance is a fun and powerful build for dungeon clearing, making it a great choice for the Necromancer.

The Sever Necromancer is both visually impressive and highly effective. It allows you to summon undead specters that unleash huge AoE scythe attacks, wiping out mobs of enemies. It also has strong scaling potential once you collect key items, making it capable of clearing even the most challenging endgame content. If you’re looking for a well-rounded build from start to finish, Sever might be the best choice for Season 6.

Soulrift is the new Necromancer skill added in Vessel of Hatred, and it’s already the best option available to the class. Soulrift is an ultimate skill that corrupts nearby enemies, dealing massive damage while also allowing you to absorb their souls to heal yourself. This build can scale massively into the late game, allowing you to easily clear most, if not all, of the content in the game. For a new skill, it already seems like the full package, and we highly recommend trying it out in Vessel of Hatred!
