After the unexpected announcement from the WoW Classic devs for the fresh new servers coming soon, many were wondering how the devs would approach the fresh realms. Given how many players wanted to re-experience the hype and fun from the first 2019 run of WoW Vanilla, there would certainly be a lot of demands and feedback for Blizzard this time around.
Despite the positive reception from the majority of the community, a ton of players asked for more quality-of-life changes given how many successful changes were implemented during Season of Discovery and WoW Classic as a whole. Having that in mind, we will take a look at the most recent update for the WoW 20th Anniversary Realms for Vanilla and Hardcore.

WoW 20th Anniversary Realm Changes
We will review the latest update to the major blogpost for the new servers coming on November 21, 2024.
After working through a great deal of player feedback, we’ve decided to provide some additional changes that will be a part of Anniversary Realms.
Instant mail between characters on the same account The removal of the buff/debuff limit Dual specs
Right off the bat, these are huge changes that were predominantly well-received by the devoted player base wanting to dive into the nostalgia-fuelled adventure of World of Warcraft. With these changes, the overall experience should be much more enjoyable, given how many players are stuck to healing in dungeons, instead of being able to change to DPS and do world PvE content.

Given how vocal the community has been the past few years, and Blizzard's attempts at revitalizing the WoW fanbase, we are steadily going to another golden era for the beloved MMORPG.
Instant mail and removal of the buff/debuff limit will be implemented at launch, and dual spec will be enabled at a later date.
Not only that, but the addition of instant mail and the removal of the buff/debuff limit will drastically reduce frustration and unnecessary friction. Coupled with the added in-game LFG tool and other improvements to the Classic design, it ultimately might result in quite a great experience for both veteran and new players.
However, there is still quite the amount of players criticizing the devs for appealing to more casual players, defending the notion that Vanilla should remain the same without major or any changes at all. Of course, there is no way to appease both sides of the spectrum, and complaints are a staple of any gaming community, but we should expect a lot of players tuning in to level characters all the way to level 60 to get their hands on the iconic endgame raids and PvP.
