Fisch Colossal Squid Location
Thankfully, you can catch the Colossal Squid in more than one location. Generally, you can do that anywhere, but there are some spots that will increase your chances immensely, as long as you know which ones they are. If you're looking for this specific species, we recommend visiting Deep Ocean or Snowcap Cave locations.
The latter can be found on Snowcap Island, and you can either walk there from the pier or use a boat. Be aware that walking can be fun, and it will allow you to complete other tasks on the way or find random rewards. However, getting a boat and sailing to Snowcap Island is way faster. In any case, you have to swim around the island on the left side.
Once you see the big ice pieces, turn into the bay on the right and you'll be there. The Deep Ocean can only be accessed by sailing away from the islands. However, this location isn't the best choice because you'll have to occasionally sail back to get more Bait, and the probability of catching the Colossal Squid is the same as on Snowcap Island.

The good news is that you don't need to sit around aimlessly and wait for the stars to align; if you have a Sundial Totem and a Smokescreen Totem, use them to achieve the right conditions without waiting.
If you don't have them, go to Sunstone Island and Mushgrove Island to get them. Unfortunately, even though fishing in the best environment is important, you also need to have the right equipment. Since the Colossal Squid is so huge, we recommend the Kings Rod or the Nocturnal Rod, as they can hold more than 1,000 max kg.
Luckily, this species of fish doesn't have any special preferences when it comes to Bait, so you can use whatever you have available.
