Fugue is the newest 5-star character in Honkai: Star Rail and a powerful Nihility user. She is once again part of the Weakness Break meta that has been an ongoing recurrence during the 2.X versions. Unlike previous Break and Super Break characters, Fugue focuses more on a support role, allowing other Break Effect characters to deal damage by providing Exo Toughness, which basically allows the enemy to be broken twice. In short, she is a better Harmony Trailblazer, and although the Super Break DMG she offers is weaker than that of the Harmony Trailblazer, her ability to allow other allies to ignore Weakness Types and her DEF reduction debuffs make her a worthy candidate for one of the best Break supports.

Fugue is a Nihility Break support unit that helps break teams by incorporating the Exo Toughness mechanic into the game. This Exo Toughness is tied to Fugue’s talent and allows her allies to break an enemy twice, leading to a massive increase in damage. Couple this with Fugue’s skill, which buffs an ally for 3 of Fugue’s turns, increasing their Break Effect by up to 30% and allowing them to ignore Weakness Type, retaining 50% of their Toughness Reduction, and you have one amazing support for Break Teams. Lastly, Fugue’s enhanced basic attacks allow her to reduce up to 18% of the enemy’s DEF, giving the whole team even more damage. The most underwhelming part of Fugue’s kit has to be her ultimate, which deals mediocre damage, and while it does reduce Toughness regardless of Weakness Type, it is not that impressive.
All in all, Fugue is a fantastic support for Break Effect teams and a unit you’d love to have on your account if you’ve been pulling for most of Penacony’s characters.

For Light Cones, you generally want to go for Fugue’s signature Light Cone [Long Road Leads Home]. This Light Cone gives Fugue everything she needs in terms of stats while also increasing the whole team’s Break DMG by even more, making it an amazing addition to Fugue’s kit. But, even if you do not have it, there are still some alternatives you can use on her.

Skill Priority
Lastly, for skill priority, you first want to prioritize Fugue’s talent, as that is where most of her usefulness will come from. After this focus on her skill, followed by her ultimate, and lastly her basic attacks. For traces you generally want to first get her A4, followed by her A2, and lastly her A2.
