As you explore new areas of the sprawling open world in Palworld, finding a perfect base location takes trial and error. Luckily, while tedious, moving to a different base site is possible by deconstructing and respawning key structures.

The Basics of Your Palworld Base
When first starting Palworld, players place down a Pal Box, which establishes a safe base radius for building crafting stations, defenses, and more. The Pal Box also stores spare creatures and acts as the sole fast travel point early on.
So your entire early game base presence gets defined by the Pal Box placement. Choose wisely when first building it to avoid having to relocate later.

How to Move Base in Palworld?
If you do need or want to shift bases in Palworld, following these steps allows repositioning:
- Open the build menu and enter Disassembly Mode
- Select your existing Pal Box and confirm the deconstruction
- Travel to the new intended base location
- Construct a new Pal Box to set new fast travel/storage/base area
Bear in mind that most structures get destroyed when deconstructing the Pal Box. And you need to manually transport any spare materials to the new site.
Also, stabled creatures remain safely in the Pal Box during relocations, so your roster won't disappear even if your base temporarily does.

Just prepare for lots of resource harvesting and base rebuilding at the new location once settled. Choosing the optimal starter site minimizes this grueling process down the road.
