This time around, Riot Phroxzon will not be providing a preview for Patch 14.10 Summoner's Rift changes, however, you can check out our extensive article covering the PBE changes, here. However, we will still take a look at the upcoming changes to Ranked and especially Arena, given how popular and well-received it has been so far.
With that being said, we will take a look at what the balance team will focus on to ensure that League of Legends remains a fun and rewarding experience, including the new Arena game mode that has a high chance of becoming a permanent addition to the client, along with ARAM.

Prismatic Item Changes

Arena Revive Time
- Reviving your ally now takes 12-8 seconds instead of 11-8 seconds
Augments and Hats
- Rioters are looking to provide better tailoring of items/augments to show up when certain build criteria are met
- Since players can now invest gold into stat anvils, there is no incentive to buy hats so you will receive one after eliminating a team or winning a high-stakes round
And that covers all of the major changes that will be coming to Patch 14.10 Arena. The devs are constantly monitoring feedback and discussing internally how to approach the game mode to ensure that it does not die out. Replayability will be a staple principle that Rioters will need to adhere to, should they wish to further cement the success as well as keep players entertained and trying out different comps.
League of Legends has shaken things up meta and gameplay-wise in Season 14. With the massive overhaul of the map, neutral objectives, items, and new champions, we can expect even more whacky and exciting changes during the second half of the season.
